How to laugh your way to the top of the world

The point of these emails isn’t for me to give you advice.

Half the time, I don’t know if I’m living my life right, so who the hell am I to give you advice lol?

The point of these emails is for me to forget myself, dissolve into Presence, and inject that Presence into every word I write (or at least that’s the aim. Sometimes (like today) too much of me gets in the way and I fuck up the process).

So when you read these emails, you don’t just read the words (which are important, but not the most important) but start to FEEL the energy the words are *laced* with.

By doing so, you’ll naturally start to feel:

Lighter, bolder, happier, liberated and more capable (with every word/email you read).

Not because my writing is so good (it’s whatever).

But because:

This is the *impact* presence has when it comes into contact with the consciousness of a human being.

Without presence, we’re impoverished (and don’t even know it).

So we feel heavy, drained, depressed, and miserable.

With presence, we reclaim our riches.

And start feeling lighter, bolder, happier, liberated and free (housed with the “you don’t understand, the rules don’t apply to me… I can make ANYTHING happen” type of energy).

This, in return, is very important (for our journey on earth) because it allows us to:

Dream bigly, but move lightly.

This is one of the greatest secrets to the video game of life (applied both internally and externally), but most people don’t know it (to no fault of their own).

Instead, what most people know (myself included) is their conditioning.

And their conditioning tells them to:

Dream timidly and move heavily.

I know that to be true because that’s exactly how I lived for a very long time.

Always suppressing my true desires.

Always living in accordance with everyone else.

Always stressing, worrying, judging.

This is a horrible way to live. Not only because it robs you of the sweet nectar of life, but also because it prevents you from actually winning (on a massive scale) because the secret of life is once again to:

Dream bigly (go for it all), but to move lightly (with humor, laughter, curiosity, delight, and traceless footsteps).

If you can do that, then the world is yours and everything in it.

But most people (including myself at times) cannot do that because the weight of their circumstances, conditioning, and character is too heavy.

So they become burdened, distraught, and spiritually bankrupt.

Taking what they think to be the truth of reality.

It’s not.

Reality with a capital R is light, playful, loving, and beckons you forward (regardless of how heavy or challenging your current circumstances may feel).

Most people don’t hear the call of the choir bells…

But some do and these are the individuals who are light on their feet.

Nothing sticks to them because they’ve seen through the veils.

And made it onto the other side.

Making it onto this other side is where all the glory is.

So the question now becomes…

How exactly can you make it to the other side?

And the answer is pretty straightforward:

1) Read the following poem titled “I Sometimes Forget That I Was Created For Joy” and allow the words to unburden you (print it out and keep it somewhere you’ll see often):

I sometimes forget

that I was created for Joy.

My mind is too busy.

My Heart is too heavy

for me to remember

that I have been

called to dance

To Love

To be lifted up

And to lift others up.

And

2) Untangle your feet from all that ensnares by going for it all (internally and externally) but meeting all the challenges, roadblocks and difficulties along the way from a place of curiosity, lightness, and laughter.

Make this your default orientation.

(Especially when you really don’t want to.)

Again…

If you can do that, then the world is yours and everything in it.

Not only externally (on the pursuit of wealth and riches), but also internally.

In other words:

If your aim internally is to go after the highest ambition which is to wake up to the true nature of reality… then… you’re going to have to go through all the conditioning that is the way. Naturally, this conditioning (if identified with) can feel heavy, weighty, and difficult.

But if you can maintain a light perspective, then you go through it without becoming weighed down.

This, in return, makes all the difference.

And not just internally either.

I see this externally too. Time and time again.

Back in 2020:

I used to run a thing called Clicks&CopyU which was basically a playground for direct response marketers. And I noticed the folks who made the most money were the ones who always maintained the perspective of lightness. No matter how big the problem. No matter how long the struggle. No matter how rare the odds. These individuals would jump on the calls and laugh, shoot the shit, and keep on beaming. It wasn’t long until reality rewarded them for their efforts. Other individuals who struggled were the ones who always got lost in their problems and challenges and stressors. Laughter or shooting the shit was outside of their wheelhouse because they were deeply identified with their problems and couldn’t laugh which prevented the darkness from ever being illuminated and cleared.

So basically I said all that to say this:

You probably don’t need to read more books & “lock in” (way too serious/doing too much).

You probably just need to change the contrast on how you perceive your current slot in life and change the brightness from “dark” to “bright”.

And you start to do that by…

Laughing more.

(Yes, laughing.)

Why laughter?

Because you cannot laugh *and* be in conditioning. So the more heavy your life becomes, the more you actually need to laugh (to break through the heaviness).

It’s counterintuitive, but it’s true.

And like always:

Don’t believe me.

Just test it and see what happens.

P.S. Sometimes I’ll hop on a call with a friend and they’ll be going through the wringer (or vice versa). Distraught, burdened, heavy. But at the end of the call, they’re laughing uncontrollably, light, and clear. What changed? Not the situation (yet). But the brightness filter.

This filter is the one and only thing you have control over.

Guard it with your life and never let society or “circumstances” dim it down.

Because it determines everything.

P.P.S. This email list is pretty strange.

It started out as a marketing/copywriting email list (and still is to a degree), but the majority of the email replies have pretty emotional replies (that you wouldn’t expect from a marketing list) with a bulk of em saying (in one way or another): “I love you and these emails!”

This is definitely nice for my character to hear (no denying that).

But in truth, what you’re loving is not necessarily me or these emails.

What you’re loving is Presence.

What you’re loving is the lightness of Reality.

What you’re loving is the freedom of Being.

What you’re loving is (ultimately) yourself.

These emails are simply the bridge that (re)connects you to yourself.

Once you make it to the other side, unsubscribe and live your life by DREAMING BIGLY & MOVING LIGHTLY!!!!!!!!!!!! :-D
