2584 Word Update: How I’m Reinventing Myself & Changing My Personal/Business Life
Let it all burn down
The winter arc is over. Spring is upon us.
Days are getting longer. The sun is showing its face again. New plants are springing to life all around us.
And the sights, sounds and smells of nature give us hope and help us remember who we truly are:
Not humans trapped in time.
But beings that are eternally free.
And with this freedom comes the potential to reinvent yourself. To strip off the heavy clothing you have put on during winter (and throughout your life). And replace it with fabric that is light, soft, and delicate to the touch (just like your nature).
So with all that in mind:
How do you actually reinvent yourself?
How can you leverage the time of Spring to draw a fresh line in the sand?
How can you look back on this season of life and confidently say: “That was the season it all changed.”
I don’t know, but I have a hunch. And this hunch is what we’re going to follow to create the Ultimate Reinvention Guide (next week).
But before we do, I wanted to share how I’m personally reinventing myself during this time of Spring (this week).
I lead with this because:
#1) It’s important to lead by example. Otherwise you’re just yapping for the sake of likes and comments. Not good.
#2) My life is naturally going through a reinvention process, so it’s cool to document all the changes and upgrades (to keep it all the way real… I feel like for the last few years… I’ve had a lot of updates that were waiting to be downloaded. But I never took the time to hit install and restart my computer lol. So when I caught pneumonia and was on my back for a month plus, all the updates finished installing. And my life has started transforming quite rapidly and wildly without any real effort on my part. Things are just happening and the truth is restructuring/reinventing my business, relationships, health, & overall quality of life. I am doing nothing, but staying out of the way).
On that note, here’s all the reinvention that is currently happening:
Reinventing lifestyle – I used to wake up and go to sleep sporadically. Now I consistently wake up at 5 am and go to sleep between 830-9pm. I made this change initially because I needed to catch up on work after I came back to life, but after weeks of running it… I realized I’m a different person when I wake up at 5.
I’m more focused, at ease, and grounded.
Moreover, I can be more present to the days of my life (and create more epic memories) because I’m not thinking about all the work I have to do. All my high level work is usually done by 10am at the earliest and 12 pm at the latest. This frees up my bandwidth to live now.
In addition to this, I also haven’t been drinking alcohol so it’s great to eliminate all hangovers. Every day is now a good day. Plus, I’ve been going ham with breathwork. (The app “Coherence” is really good and I love their big idea: BILLIONS WILL BREATHE.)
Reinventing work routine – I’ve gone through different seasons when it comes to work. Sometimes I’m on the 4-6 hour day. Sometimes I’m not. These days? For good or bad… I’ve been pretty much working from 6am to 6pm (sometimes even longer and up until bed time which isn’t ideal, but it is what it is). Just have a lot of energy and fire that wants to be directed outwards, so not really sitting still and doing nothing these days. I’m sure this will change in the summer time, but right now it’s put a dent in the Universe time.
Reinventing diet – I spent the month of December in Australia slamming brews and hitting up popular restaurants.
Then I got sick in January and spent Jan/Feb pretty much knocked out without any real appetite.
So I was just doming a F ton of Gatorade (not the smartest decision) and eating foods I don’t normally eat.
With that in mind…
I got a blood test done in late Feb and everything came back normal, but my blood sugar came back slightly on the higher side. My dad has diabetes, so you know how doctors are: “It runs in the family!!” But anyways… taking another blood test in 3 months time. With that, I’ve gone back to my normal diet and mostly eating a low carb diet. <50 grams/day. Diet is essentially: Meat, eggs, fish, avocado, fruit, greek yogurt.
Reinventing physique/my body – I lost 15 lbs from the sickness. Went from 175 to 159. Target weight was 180. Was just about there, but then took a detour haha. Getting this back up and prioritizing lifting and sprinting and maxing out calories, but have had to take it a bit slow because I’m still not all the way recovered from the sickness. (My respiratory rate and heart rate is still cooked).
Reinventing Instagram – One of the benefits of getting all my high level work done by 10am is I actually have time/space to F around with different things. Recently, one of those things has been Instagram. For the longest time, I didn’t care about IG and just treated it as a recycling bin for content I was posting on X. But recently, I’ve felt the urge to get better/comfortable at the skill of creating short-form videos. So I deleted pretty much everything and created a new series called Tej Talks where I post a new reel every Monday, Wednesday, Friday. I aim to make these valuable and full of signal and my friends seem to be enjoying them, so that’s awesome.
Here’s a couple examples:
How to build a new identity in 7 days.
How I get my high ROI work done by 10 am.
The one dropping today (within the hour) will be called:
How to write copy in 60 seconds (to make more money)
… and it includes a juicy template you may want to put into action?
(If you like what you see, follow my IG account for more).
Reinventing YouTube – The last time I uploaded a video to YouTube was five months ago lol. I want to change that by uploading 1 high quality video a week that’s most likely going to be the weekly newsletter in video form. Speaking of the newsletter…
Reinventing this Newsletter – In 2024, I didn’t write much. I just did a lot of travelling and Fing around. Then I came back to writing and kind of experimented with daily emails and sending out multiple emails throughout the week. But I didn’t really vibe with that. It was cool to send daily emails back in 2018/2019 and I had a lot of fun doing it. But these days… There’s just so much content and information overload that it’s better to send 1 detailed, extremely valuable email per week (that actually makes a real impact). So that’s what I’m sticking to. Every Monday at 6:00 am pst. I’ll be exploring a lot of different things through this newsletter. And taking it back to the OG and new school days.
Reinventing mindskool – I’m rebranding mindskool to play at a bigger level. In short: I’ve done a lot of personal experimentation (definitely in the top 1% in this area) since 2020 (running crazy split tests) in the areas of identity shifting and constructing a reality distortion field (both personally and with 1 friend).
And I got an extremely dialled in system that is extremely unique and fast working (unlike anything else on the market).
As a result:
I’m so confident in its ability to generate real results that my aim is to take this to entrepreneurs, CEOs, and start-up founders with the following offer:
“2x your income by building a reality distortion field or get 110% of your money back.”
And then eventually branching out to servicing: Up and coming athletes, artists/creatives, and the folks who are going to reshape tomorrow.
This offer won’t be cheap or for the mainstream, but for a very specific type of target and will be priced around the $10k+ mark (and I want to work 1-on-1 with these people. F groups.) With that said, there will also be other entry points that are more affordable:
Free Lead Magnet: 7 Day Mindset Folder Course (redoing this and updating it with my current enhancements) to create version 2.0
Low Ticket Offer: Daily identity shifting meditation you can run to shift into your newly created 2.0 identity (probably like $47).
Medium Ticket Offer: Clean Your Inner World to let go of all the blockages that are currently keeping you unconsciously identified with version 1.0
High Ticket Offer: 2x your income by building a reality distortion field (ultra advanced/working 1-on-1 with people) or get 110% of your money back.
All this in return will help fulfill the mission of mindskool which is to empower 1,000,000+ athletes, entrepreneurs, artists to put a ding in the universe.
(If any of the above interests you… drop me a reply and lmk… I’ll hook you up with early access)
Reinventing copyskool – This will be set up in the following manner:
Level #1) Copy Activator: 6 Figure Promotions + Client Conversion Secrets – Aim here is to continue doing what we’ve been doing which is to teach people my personal system for writing high converting copy. And then helping them land clients. I’ll be updating this in the future with an AI component (aka how to apply the copy conception system w/ AI).
Level #2) CopyPreneur: 7 Figure Builds – Aim here is to share my step-by-step process for building/launching/scaling your own offer/brand and generating max cashflow. Inside this program, I’m lifting up the private curtains and sharing 5-7 brand builds in all different types of niches and business models to give you an idea of how I roll/what my process makes possible/how it works. This is all done to help people make the switch from Copywriter to CopyPreneur and make the prettiest of pennies. This was supposed to launch a month ago, but got pushed back by the sickness. Will be up and running this month.
Level #3) Copy Advising – If you have an existing business or you’re in the process of building out a new brand, you’ll be able to for the fire time hire me personally to get all the ‘invisible’ decisions right that allows you to achieve the right positioning, product/market fit, message-to-market match. This is what I’ve gotten really good at throughout the years. And IMO is what makes the biggest difference in success or failure. This won’t be cheap at all and I’ll probably only work with 1-2 companies a year (upwards of $50k for the full deck + potentially small % of equity), but it is something that I want to add because I enjoy this process so much. And want to share it with the folks who are building brands for the new world.
Reinventing my business pursuit(s) – In order to give extra credibility to the Copy Advising, I’m launching a new brand in the eCom space and will be leveraging it as a case study inside the Tej Dosa Letter (periodically) so you can see exactly what my process looks like in real time.
And why it may be a good idea to consider the copy advising if you’re launching something new or in the process of taking something that is working and optimizing it to hit the next level.
This will be fun and designed to clear millions.
Reinventing the Podcast – I don’t podcast to build an audience or even to share conversations with others (that’s a natural byproduct). I podcast for 2 reasons: (1) I learn the most when I talk to other people (it’s my favorite way to learn new things) (2) I am at my best when I’m expressing myself. If I don’t run the pod, then I don’t really have an avenue for free flowing expression. And it’s easy for me to isolate and not really come up for clean air. This limits my superhero powers. So running the pod is my way of keeping that from happening. With that in mind, I may be running another pod with Trevor G. Blake in the near future and also with a person from my home town who was shot 26 times, went into a coma, and experienced himself entering crazy spiritual dimensions. His story is up there for the craziest shit I’ve ever heard. So hopefully I’ll be able to make that happen.
Reinventing my relationship(s) – I’m starting to get grey hair now, so it may be time to get married and pump out some kids. Is that how it works? Hahahahaha.
Reinventing my workflows – I’ve been taking all my SOPs (both personal and work related) and optimizing them with AI. This has been incredibly fun (I love AI) and saving me a shit ton of time. May share in the future. May not.
Reinventing my values – Something shifted in me (in a good way) and I just don’t care about most things anymore. I only care about spiritual development, living a genuine/real human life, laughing with loved ones, and going full throttle until they cremate the boy. This is probably the byproduct of having gone to so many funerals. The most recent one I went to was this past Sunday for a 37 year old relative. I didn’t know her that well in my adult years, but my mom told me when I was a kid… she walked in the freezing cold/dead of winter for like 30 minutes to get me a toy from the store because I was crying. So I had to show up to the funeral and say thank you as an adult.
Reinventing myself – I feel like I’m being recreated in each and every moment. I know who I am, but I no longer know who I will become. And that is exciting.
With that all in mind:
The above is obviously quite the reinvention process.
So now that you know how I’m reinventing myself, we’ll shift the focus back to you and hold up the mirror of reinvention to your face/life by sharing the Ultimate Reinvention Guide next week (debated sharing it this week, but think it would make this email way too long and would turn into a mini course lol).
But before I do, I have 1 thing to share and 1 question to ask…
First the share:
Reinvention is a natural part of life and when you’re in tune with the seasons… it happens to you (every Spring). Not from you.
But most of us are disconnected, so we continue playing the same character in different seasons (and miss out on downloading all the updates that have become available to us). We’ll fix that next week and hopefully bring ourselves back in sync with nature :-)
Now the question:
What’s the biggest challenge you face when it comes to reinventing yourself?
Drop me a reply (if you feel inclined) and let me know.
This will be useful in making the Ultimate Reinvention Guide extra juicy.
Thanks for reading!
Your friend,
/tej
